Custard-like flesh with extraordinary complexity — Mon Thong ('Golden Pillow') is Thailand's most prized durian variety: sweet, buttery, creamy, with notes of vanilla, almond, and a depth that no other fruit approaches.

How To Eat & Store

Step 1 - Refrigerate

Refrigerate immediately upon receipt.

Step 2 - Enjoy

Eat the custardy flesh directly. No need to wait as it is delivered ready to eat.

Start with small amounts if you're new to durian.
The flavour often develops appreciation across 2–3 tastings.

Step 3 - Storage

Refrigerate on arrival and consume within 5-7 days.
Remove absorbent paper if damp; wipe durian if needed.
Feeze for up to 3 months — texture changes slightly but flavour is preserved.

Where It Begins

Thailand — the world's largest durian exporter, where Mon Thong has been perfected over generations of selective cultivation. Our durian comes from established growers during peak season.

How It's Grown

Grown on small family orchards in Thailand, our Mon Thong durians are left until physiological maturity on the tree. They are then harvested and stored for 2–3 days at room temperature (that is tropical) to trigger ripening for consumption. In fact, durians only ripen after harvest.

How It Reaches You

Selected, opened, peeled, and carefully packed into punnets in Thailand, then shipped by air under refrigeration so it reaches you fresh and ready to eat.

Every culture in Southeast Asia that grows durian has a word for the experience of eating it for the first time. In Thailand, a durian devotee is called a 'durian person' — someone who has crossed the threshold and can never fully return to an unseasoned understanding of what fruit can be.

Mon Thong — 'Golden Pillow' — is Thailand's most beloved and widely grown variety. The flesh is pale to deep yellow, thick, custardy, and soft in a way that has no real parallel. The flavour is simultaneously: sweet, rich, creamy, vanilla, almond, onion, and something deeply tropical and savoury. The complexity is real. There is nothing else like it.
