How do I know when a mango is ready to eat?

Gently press the mango with your fingers. Most varieties are ready to eat when they feel soft or slightly soft, depending on the variety. Maha Chanok is often best when slightly soft, while Kent, Honey Ataulfo, Nam Dok Mai, Keitt, Osteen, Edward, Kiew Saview, Irwin, Maha Chanok, and Bowen are usually perfect when soft. Nam Dok Mai may also show black spots on the skin when ripe.

How should I store mangoes?

Let your mangoes ripen at room temperature first. Once they reach the right softness, store them in the fridge for a few days. Kent usually keeps for 4 to 5 days in the fridge once ripe, while Honey Ataulfo, Nam Dok Mai, Maha Chanok, Bowen, and Kiew Saview generally keep for a few days.

Why do Jurassic Fruit mangoes taste better than supermarket mangoes?

Because our mangoes are harvested much later in the ripening process. Supermarket mangoes are often picked early for transport and storage. Our secret: - Picked by hand one by one at peak flavor - Grown on rich, living, fertile soil which gives better fruits. - We select varieties for their amazing taste, not for their shelf life. All of the above gives you better sweetness, better aroma, and more natural texture.

Which mango variety is the sweetest?

Sweetness depends on the season and your personal taste, but Honey Ataulfo is known for its rich, sweet profile. Nam Dok Mai and Maha Chanok are also loved for their fragrant sweetness and smooth flesh. Kent is often a great all-round choice if you want juicy sweetness with a classic mango flavor.

Which mangoes have less fiber?

Nam Dok Mai is especially known for its silky, almost fiber-free flesh. Honey Ataulfo is also typically very smooth and creamy. These are excellent choices if you prefer a softer, more delicate eating experience.

Where do your mangoes come from?

Our mango selection changes with the season and the region. We offer varieties from Peru, Mexico, Thailand, Cameroon, Spain, and other producing origins depending on availability. This allows us to offer different mango varieties throughout the year.

Can I eat mango skin?

All of the mango varieties have edible skin. Kent and Honey Ataulfo have edible skin that is naturally rich in antioxidants. That said, many people still prefer to peel them and eat only the flesh, so go ahead and try it to see if that’s your jam!
