It's my first buy so I'm still figuring out a lot about this but so far everything is really nice! Although they could've been a bit more ripe, most where yellow/light orange which is good, 2 out of 10 were plain green with a little yellow.
I've started drying the beans and made tea from the shell of the pods. Wow! This is incredible tea!
The amount of inner relaxation it brings as well as a lot of energy at the same time is really cool!
Can't wait to eat my dried beans and do some cacaonout exploring! :)

This was the first time I tasted a raw cocoa pod. Unbelievable! I didn't know that the seeds were so soft. When bitten on, they taste like black baked cocoa and combined with the flesh, it was a new taste experience for me. Easy to open with an all-round cut and a twist, the flesh and seeds are exposed. The combination of pulp and core is incredibly delicious. Surprising taste, first cocoa, then sweet, neutral and strangely interesting. The flesh of my fruit was brownish; there is probably also white flesh. The pods are between 13 cm and 17 cm long, some round thick, others oblong. My skin was yellow with brown spots. I am very pleasantly surprised that this raw fruit tastes so delicious. I can imagine the seeds with and without flesh good in salads and as a topping for desserts. It may also be a variant instead of chestnuts in hearty or hearty dishes. I am impressed by this taste, the consistency when added raw. A gift from nature!
