Sapote Amarillo : ce que les gens en disent

Unique fruit that tastes like sweet potatoes, chestnuts and shortbread. Great consistency Couldn't eat the whole fruit so that it is very grasping and filling. It was very good in curry or cake.

It is difficult to describe this fruit because the consistency of the flesh and the taste are very unusual. I eat the peel as I please, unfortunately I can't describe the taste as the fruit itself drowns it out. The flesh is rather floury, sticks a bit to my teeth and palate and my fingers are completely yellow after eating it. The taste is really difficult to describe as it is so unusual. Sweet, fruity but otherwise fruity. Tropically fruity and you always want more of it. The fruit size can vary between XXL eggs and small mango the size of the hand. After eating it, I'm full but I'm happy, I want more of it. The core peels off easily and is rather small in relation to the flesh. There is a lot of flesh on this fruit.

Slightly firm in the flesh. Creamy, slightly sweet and also salty, tastes very pleasant. We like the sapote lucuma even better, but this amarillo is also fine.

Exactly as described: creamy, yellow with an orange tint. I've eaten it for the first time. The taste is more reminiscent of lucuma than canistel (eggplant) and has a pleasantly bitter aftertaste. Hence the name, I suppose. I will definitely buy it again.
