What could be healthier and more satisfying than a good avocado?

Because healthy, oh yes, it is!

Very few fruits are as nutritious and complete as the avocado. It gives you vitamins like K, E and B6, as well as essential minerals like potassium and magnesium. But it's also a fountain of fatty acids (the good kind!), when picked at the right time.

And all with a very low glycemic and caloric index.

That's why, no matter which diet you turn to - keto, paleo, vegan or the famous Mediterranean diet - they all tell you the same thing: avocados are the perfect ingredient for healthy meals.

The Hass variety is the most widely cultivated in the world for its fatty, buttery flesh. What's more, its rather thick skin makes it very pleasant to eat by the teaspoonful.

The trouble with buying it in the supermarket is that you're getting a commercially grown avocado. Which means it overconsumes water, is picked too early and on your plate is either watery or black inside.

Here at Jurassic Fruit, it's different. We work with small organic (or equivalent quality) growers who pamper their avocados. They leave them on the tree for a long time, and it doesn't matter if the tree produces less fruit as a result.

The point? Their flesh becomes so much richer and tastier. Instead of cutting the avocados 6 months after flowering, our growers let them gorge themselves with fat for 10 to 18 months!

The result is an avocado that's even more dense in nutrients and really buttery. And all this while supporting a small producer who looks after the earth.
