How To Eat & Store

Arrives ready to eat

Our pineapples are harvested at full maturity and are delivered ready to eat, even when their peel is green.

Step 1 - Remove the crown

Twist the crown around itself to detach it.

Step 2 - Slice and Serve

Cut the fruit in 2 from top to bottom, then in quarters.
Remove the skin, cut the flesh into pieces and enjoy!
The core is often tender enough to eat.

Storage

Refrigerate cut pineapple in an airtight container and eat it within 3 days. A whole pineapple can keep in the fridge for up to 1 week, depending on how ripe it is.

How It's Grown

Our Cayenne pineapples are grown in Cameroon using nature-friendly farming methods and harvested close to peak ripeness, allowing the fruit to develop its full tropical character naturally while supporting local farming communities.

Compared to modern varieties, Cayenne pineapple is loved for its brighter balance of sweetness and acidity, intense juiciness, fragrant aroma, and pale tender flesh. When perfectly ripe, even the core can be soft enough to eat.

Sun-ripened & yellow, delicious fruit that was crushed in places
I ordered three pineapples for my family, for which Jurassic Fruit gave a 5% discount. The price/performance ratio was right.
As always, UPS delivered to me exactly during the day! The delivery note was missing but the delivery was complete.
The pineapples were as yellow as the pineapple SpongeBob lives in, except for one 😂👏 A pineapple was a bit green.
They were juicy and delicious! We stored them uncut and plastered them for three consecutive days 😝 The crown was easy to twist off!
Unfortunately, the pineapples were crushed in places. However, I refrained from contacting Jurassic Fruit because they were still edible.
